Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon & Glass Bridge

Bailong Elevator

Yellow Dragon Cave (้ป้พๆด)

Golden Whip Stream (้้ญๆบช)
A scenic 7.5km valley walk along a crystal-clear stream at the base of the pillars. Wild macaques (monkeys) roam freely โ keep your bag closed! The walk takes 2-3 hours and offers a different perspective looking up at the pillars from below.

Monkey Etiquette
Wild macaques are everywhere. Keep food and plastic bags hidden โ they will grab them. Do not make eye contact or open bags in front of them. If a monkey approaches, do not run; just walk away calmly. Report aggressive monkeys to park staff.
Getting Around the Park
Free shuttle buses connect the different scenic zones inside the park. The system is efficient but queues can be long during peak hours (10:00-14:00). Stay in Wulingyuan town for the easiest park access โ it is a 5-10 minute walk to the East Gate.

Zhangjiajie City
The main city center, near the railway station and airport. More local atmosphere with markets, street food, and everyday Chinese life. About 40 minutes from Wulingyuan by bus/taxi.
Tianmen Mountain Area
Hotels near the Tianmen Mountain cable car station. Convenient if you are prioritizing Tianmen Mountain over the National Forest Park. Quieter at night than Wulingyuan.
Cili County (rural)
